Morning Report blog?
I'm thinking about starting a blog for Morning Report in Child Health. I know that other librarians have done this, but I'm wondering if there are restrictions as to what I can include in the blog. I would obviously not include patient names, but how specific can I be in descriptions of patients? Are age, sex, diagnosis acceptable? Do I need to get institutional approval to do this?

Check out the HIPAA PHI list (off hand I think everything you mentioned is included on the no-no list). Great idea though. Do you have SharePoint? You may be able to blog there with PHI info as it is on a secure LAN.
